Spring Construction Projects Begin

Here's a look at the beginning of the spring construction season. Several construction projects of varying lengths are scheduled to begin Monday, May 5, 2014

Lasalle Blvd and Notre Dame: Ave: Lane reductions for curb removal and installation starts Monday, May 5, 2014. Construction at this intersection is expected to continue throughout the summer.



Paris Street: Southbound traffic on Paris Street from Centennial Drive to Walford Road will be reduced to one lane from 2 a.m. Monday, May 5 to 8 p.m. that night.



Windle Drive: Sanitary sewer work on Windle Drive from Loach’s road to Millwood Crescent will close the road Monday, May 5, 2014 for four weeks. Local traffic will only have access from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. Pedestrians will be escorted across the site.



Loach’s Road: Starting Monday, May 12, Loach’s Road from Lo-Ellen Park Secondary School to Armstrong Street will be reduced to one lane to complete water main installation. Work is expected to be completed in September 2014.



King Street: Asphalt removal and installation, sidewalk work and sanitary and water main services work will start on King Street Monday, May 5, 2014 with an expected completion date in September this year. King Street will be closed from Laforest Street to Kehoe Street May 5 to June 21 and from Laforest Street to Notre Dame Avenue June 22 to July 30. Work will take place between 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.



Ontario Street: Curb and sidewalk repair will start Monday, May 5, 2014 until June 15. Work will take place between 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.



John Street West: Curb and sidewalk repair will start Monday, May 5, 2014 until June 15. Work will take place between 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.
