Crews are responding to a trunk main break in the Coniston area this morning, from the Wahnapitae Water Treatment Plan. Water for the Sudbury area will now be drawn from the Ellis Reservoir.

Residents in the Sudbury water service area, including Sudbury, New Sudbury, Garson, and Minnow Lake, are asked to conserve water by reducing non-essential uses while repairs are underway. Residents may experience water discolouration and/or pressure fluctuations. Coniston, Wahnapitae, and Markstay are not affected.

It is anticipated that repairs may take some time as this is a break in a difficult to reach area; updates will be provided as information is available.
