On the 23rd of July 2016 at approximately 11:00 pm an altercation occurred in the area of Kathleen Street in the city of Greater Sudbury. At this time, a social function was ongoing when a fight broke out and a male was struck.
The male left the scene and returned shortly afterwards with bear spray. The male suspect sprayed two people directly and 6 others were cross contaminated. The victims received minor injuries and were treated at the scene by EMS.
Officers attended the scene and searched the area for the suspect who had fled on a bicycle. The suspect was located and arrested without incident.
A 20 year old Sudbury man has been charged with the following;
1. Weapons Dangerous
2. Assault with a weapon X3
3. Breach of Probation X3
4. Administering noxious thing
