Updated - August 23rd, 2016 8:35pm: Witnesses say a man was seen on the Beatty street tressel shortly after 8:00pm threatening to jump. By around 8:35pm police had successfully talked the man down and re-opened the roadway.

Police have closed a section of Beatty Street from Frood Road to Pine Street in order to deal with a situation near the train tressel on Beatty Street Road.

Police are not commenting on the nature of the situation at this time.
