Updated - August 31st, 2016 6:00pm: Greater Sudbury Police Uniform Patrol and Tactical Unit are on scene of the Weapons Complaint.
Police have confirmed that there is one suspect who has access to firearms and he remains within his residence. The Tactical Unit has established communications with the suspect and negotiations are ongoing.
Residents in the area should still remain indoors.

We can not confirm the relationship between the individual and those being forcibly confined at this time.
