38 year old in serious condition after assault on Notre Dame Ave.

CORRECTION: The Greater Sudbury Police Service issued an updated release correcting the date of this assaut. The assault took plane on September 10th, not 11th. at 9:15pm.

On September 10 th , Saturday night at approximately 9:15 P.M. a 38 year old male with severe head and face injuries was discovered on Notre Dame Avenue by a city transit driver. The transit driver called EMS who attended and brought the male to Health Sciences North for treatment where he remains in serious condition.

Greater Sudbury Police Detectives were subsequently notified and learned that the Ottawa man was at an address on Notre Dame, Sudbury when he was beaten by 4 people and robbed of his belongings. Police continue to investigate.
The Greater Sudbury Police Service is asking the public’s assistance in identifying any of the involved persons responsible for this crime.
