The Greater Sudbury Police Service is currently investigating an assault which occurred on Leslie St. in Sudbury at approximately 4:30 pm on Friday September 16th, 2016.  As a result of the assault a female was brought to Health Sciences North with non-life threatening injuries.

During the assault a Good Samaritan intervened to offer assistance and effectively ended the assault.  The Greater Sudbury police would like to thank and speak to this Good Samaritan as well as speak to anyone who may have witnessed the assault on Leslie St.  Anyone with information in regards to this incident is asked to contact the Greater Sudbury Police Service Uniform Staff Sergeant.
