Police identify suspect in Lloyd Street stabbing #Sudbury

On Wednesday, May 24, 2017 at approximately 1:30 p.m. Greater Sudbury Police arrived on scene of an altercation that had recently taken place between two men on Lloyd Street. As a result of the altercation, a 30year old man from Greater Sudbury sustained stab wounds to his neck and shoulder. He was transported to hospital by EMS where he remains in stable condition.

Prior to Police arrival, the 27-year old suspect fled the scene on foot. As a result of the information gathered through the ongoing investigation, Greater Sudbury Police have obtained an arrest warrant for 27-year old, Andrew McNichol of No Fixed Address. He is wanted for Aggravated Assault and Weapons Dangerous under the Criminal Code of Canada.  

 

Andrew is described as being approximately 6’0” tall and weighing approximately 190 pounds. He has brown eyes and a shaven head. He often frequents the Downtown core of Greater Sudbury.

Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Andrew McNichol is asked to contact Police immediately and to not approach him.
