A twenty four year old Sudbury resident will be in Bail Court this morning
after being arrested in Halifax, Nova Scotia on a Canada wide warrant for
Criminal Harassment and breaching his probation and bail conditions. He was
also wanted on six other warrants for numerous other offences including the
following:
- 19 counts for Breach of Probation
- 5 counts of Fail to Comply with Recognizance of Bail
- 2 counts of Uttering Treats of Death or Bodily Harm
- 2 counts of Assault
- 1 count of Criminal Harassment
- 1 count of Mischief
- 1 count of Possession of Property Obtained by Crime
- 3 counts related to Highway Traffic Act offences
He was to attend court to answer to these charges in April, May and June of
2013 but failed to attend on all dates and therefore warrants were issued. The
accused was arrested by Halifax Police on the 7th of March 2014.
Greater Sudbury Police Court Special Constables arrived in Halifax on the
11th of March and took custody of the accused, returning him to
Sudbury late last evening.
