Robbery at Legace Convenience

At 8:30 pm on the 4th of June 2014, Greater Sudbury Police responded to a Robbery at the Legace Convenience Store located at 621 Notre Dame Ave, Sudbury. A male party armed with a knife entered the store and demanded money from the clerk. The clerk refused and confronted the suspect with a baseball bat. The suspect fled the scene on a bicycle without obtaining any cash or merchandise. Fortunately no one was injured during the incident. Officers from the Tactical Unit and BEAR unit located the suspect on Frood Road a short time later. The 23 year old male was arrested and was charged with Robbery, Wearing a Disguise, Weapons Dangerous, Carrying a Concealed Weapon and Breach of Probation. He will appear in Bail Court on the 7th of June 2014 to answer to the charges.
