Stabbing at Lloyd Street Apartment in Sudbury

On Thursday June 12th at 6:30 pm, there was a fight in a building on Lloyd Street, Sudbury. Neighbours called police upon hearing the scuffle involving three men who had been drinking together in an apartment.

A verbal argument occurred. This escalated when one of the men picked up an edged weapon and began stabbing one of the victims who required medical attention and received several stitches as a result. The second victim attempted to intervene and was stabbed in the face as a result also required medical attention. The injuries to both were non-life threatening.

The suspect fled the area on foot and was apprehended by police a short distance away. He is being held at this time for a bail hearing. He was arrested for assault with weapon X 2, weapons dangerous and breach of a court order.
