Updated - April 28th, 2016 10:00pm: Greater Sudbury Fire Services responded to a vehicle fire on Caribou Rd that quickly spread to the roof of the home around 1:30pm this afternoon.

Witnesses say the vehicle caught fire moments after a female resident returned home.

25 firefighters from 4 stations responded to the blaze that caused extensive damage to the home.

Two people were evacuated from the home and have been displaced as a result of the blaze.

There were no injuries.

Damage is estimated at approximately $300,000.
