Six active wildfires by mid-afternoon on June 1st, 2016, Sudbury 23 is just north of Capreol in Greater Sudbury.

Two new fires have been discovered:
• Sudbury 23 is not under control at 0.2 of a hectare (click here to view the full size map)
• Bancroft 3 is not under control at 6.9 hectares

There are 3 other active fires in the region.
• Hearst 4 is being held at 475 hectares
• Hearst 5 is being held at 2574 hectares
• Wawa 7 is now being held at 294 hectares

The forest fire hazard rating is low to high across the region, with areas of greatest concern in the south and southeast portions of the region.
