Greater Sudbury Fire Services responded to an apartment fire on Dennie Street in Capreol around 9:30a on July 17th, 2015.

Sixteen firefighters from four stations responded to the seven unit building this morning. The fire was contained to one unit.

Seven people had to be evacuated and firefighters rescued one person.

One person was injured in the blaze. The extent of those injuries in unknown at this time.

Twelve people have been displaced.

Smoke and fire damage are described as severe. Damage is estimated at $75,000. The Greater Sudbury Police, Greater Sudbury Fire Services and the Ontario Fire Marshall are investigating.
