GSU and Agilis Networks support Fort McMurray, issue challenge

(Sudbury,ON)-Greater Sudbury Utilities (GSU), on behalf of its competitive affiliate Agilis Networks, has made a donation of $5000 to the Canadian Red Cross Fort McMurray Relief Effort.
“The people of Fort McMurray are in our hearts and on our minds,” said Josey Frescura, VP/GM Agilis Networks. “Our staff have also started to raise money for the Relief Fund. We challenge businesses across Northern Ontario to do their part as well. So many will need so much that we all need to pitch in.”
The destruction in the Fort McMurray area is so extreme that at this point, no one really knows what will be necessary to rebuild the community. Greater Sudbury Hydro, a division of GSU, has offered to help with distribution system restoration.
“In times like this, communities pull together,” said Mark Signoretti, Chair of the GSU Board of Directors. “We’ve extended an offer of assistance, so when it comes time to rebuild the electrical infrastructure, we will help in whatever way we can. Community extends beyond borders.”
