Updated - May 10th, 2016 10:40am: Power has been restored to the Coniston/Wahnapitae area following an interruption that began around 5:30 this morning.
The cause of the outage was a loss of power supplied by Hydro One affecting both Hydro One and Greater Sudbury Utilities customers.
Initially, a broken insulator was suspected, but it now appears a line out of an Ontario Power Generation Station was faulty.
Power was restored at 10:30am.

Greater Sudbury Utilities says the interruption begain around 5:30am this morning and appears to be related to distribution from Hydro One.
According to Hydro One's website the estimated time to restoral is approximately 10am.
