Updated: More charges in connection with Copper Cliff weapons complaint

(SUDBURY ON) Updated - June 29th, 2016 10:00am: In the late evening of the 28th of June 2016, Greater Sudbury Police Service arrested two additional adult males in connection with the weapons incident that occurred in Copper Cliff late Friday evening on the 25th of June 2016.    Both will be appearing in Bail Court on Wednesday the 29th of June 2016 to answer to their charges. One male is charged with Attempt Murder and Weapons Dangerous while the second male is changed with Accessory After The Fact – Attempt Murder. 
As a result, there are now four parties charged in relation to this incident.  The victim is recovering from their injuries and Greater Sudbury Police Service would like to thank the public for their assistance in this investigation.

Updated - June 27th, 2016 7:00pm: Two adults have been arrested and charged in connection with the weapons incident that occurred in Copper Cliff late Friday evening on the 25th of June 2016.
31 year old Steven Beemer was arrested in St. Charles, Ontario by Detectives of the Greater Sudbury Police Service with the assistance of the Ontario Provincial Police. He will be appearing in Bail Court on Wednesday the 29th of June 2016 to answer to the charges of Attempt Murder and Weapons Dangerous.
28 year old Leslie Beemer was also arrested by Detectives of the Greater Sudbury Police Service with the assistance of the Ontario Provincial Police. She appeared in Bail Court today, and was released on a Recognizance. Her next court appearance will be Wednesday the 13th of July 2016 to answer to the charges of Accessory After The Fact Attempt Murder and Dangerous Driving.
The criminal investigation remains active as Detectives continue to speak to witnesses and collect evidence in this matter. On Friday the 24th of June 2016 at approximately 10:30pm, Uniform Patrol officers were dispatched to a Weapons Complaint on Peter Street in Copper Cliff, where several persons were involved in a disturbance. A 34 year old male suffered life-threatening injuries during the altercation. He was transported to Health Sciences North, where he remains in critical but stable condition.

A 31 year old male from St. Charles has been arrested, and is currently charged with Attempt Murder and Weapons Dangerous. He is currently in custody attending a Bail hearing 26Jun16.
Criminal Investigations, Drug Unit and BEAR Unit officers are continuing with the investigation.
