Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics with special guest

The Greater Sudbury Police Service will be holding the annual Law Enforcement Torch Run (LETR) for Special Olympics on May 21st 2014. Participants will be jogging from Science North to Tom Davies Square. The event begins at 5 p.m. therefore runners are asked to set up at approx. 4:30 p. m. The public is welcome to join the run. T-shirt will also be sold at the event and all monies raised will go towards The Special Olympics.

This year, the organizers are extremely proud to have Brad Jacobs, Olympic Curling Gold Medalist from Sochi on hand to participate in the event. He will be at Tom Davies square at the conclusion of the run (between 5:30 and 6:00 p.m.) for a meet and greet, and to sign autographs.

The mission of the LETR for Special Olympics is to increase awareness and raise funds for the Special Olympics movement. Each year, the initiative grows bigger and better.

The Special Olympics community is grateful to the officers from around the world who raise awareness and funds through the Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics.
