RIDE results for Thursday 12 June 2014

The ongoing R.I.D.E. Program is aimed at reducing property damage, injuries and death caused by impaired driving.  R.I.D.E. checks are intended to target high-incident / high-complaint areas.

The Greater Sudbury Police Service R.I.D.E.  program attended the following locations:

Kelly Lake Rd at Southview Dr, Kelly Lake Rd at Copper St, Lorne St at Kelly Lake Rd and several streets throughout the downtown core by means of mobile patrol. 

A total of 234 drivers were checked, 7 approved screening tests administered and 1 3-days license suspension was issued. 9 Highway Traffic Act offenses were also issued.

Operation Lookout is a Canada-wide, year-round public awareness program that encourages the public and / or businesses to CALL 9-1-1 if they suspect an impaired driver.
