Greater Sudbury Police Service Impaired related incidents.

On Thursday, May 1, 2014 at approximately 9:17 p.m. members of the Greater Sudbury Police Service responded to a single motor vehicle collision in the area of Panache Lake Rd, Walden. The red 1999 Ford F150 was located and the male driver was found to have been drinking. The driver was unable to provide breath or blood samples due to his injuries. Further investigation was conducted and a blood warrant issued.

Isaiah Brideau (19yrs) was charged on June 24 with Driving While Ability Impaired, Driving with more than 80 mgs. of Alcohol in Blood and other Criminal Code offences. He was held in custody to attend Bail Court.

On Friday, May 16, 2014 at approximately 9:00 p.m. members of the Greater Sudbury Police Service responded to a single motor vehicle collision in the area of Simmons Rd., Sudbury. The male driver of the black 2010 Arctic Cat ATV was located and found to have been drinking. The driver was unable to provide breath or blood samples due to his injuries. Further investigation was conducted and a blood warrant issued.

Blake Gristey (37 yrs) was charged on June 24 with Care or Control While Impaired and Driving with more than 80 mgs. of Alcohol in Blood contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada. He was released from custody and was compelled to attend court on July 2, 2014.

On Wednesday, June 11, 2014 at approximately 10:55 p.m. members of the Greater Sudbury Police Service conducted a traffic stop for a suspicious vehicle in the area of Moonlight Beach, Sudbury. The male driver of the silver 2007 Chevrolet Cavalier was found to have been drinking. The roadside test resulted in a Fail. The driver was taken into custody at the scene and escorted to police headquarters. The breath tests indicated that the driver was over the legal limit.

Pratyush Pathak (27 yrs) was charged with Care or Control While Impaired and Driving with more than 80 mgs. of Alcohol in Blood contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada. He was issued a 90 day ADLS suspension and his vehicle was impounded for 7 days. Pathak was released from custody and was compelled to attend court on June 25, 2014.

On Saturday, June 21 at approximately 10:50 p.m. members of the Greater Sudbury Police Service were conducting a R.I.D.E. check in the area of M.R. 84, Capreol. The male driver of a red 2005 Mazda pickup truck was stopped and found to have been drinking. The roadside test resulted in a Fail. The driver was taken into custody at the scene and escorted to police headquarters. The breath tests indicated that the driver was over twice the legal limit.

Anthony Roberge (43yrs) was charged with Care or Control While Impaired and Care or Control Over 80 mgs. He was issued a 90 day ADLS suspension and his vehicle was impounded for 7 days. Roberge was released from custody and was compelled to attend court on July 2, 2014.

On Sunday, June 22, 2014 at approximately 01:42 a.m. members of the Greater Sudbury Police Service were conducting a R.I.D.E check in the area of Kalmo Rd., Val Caron. The male driver of a black 2007 Dodge Ram was checked and found to have been drinking. The roadside test resulted in a Fail. The driver was taken into custody at the scene and escorted to police headquarters. The breath tests indicated that the driver was over one and half times the legal limit.

Daniel St. Georges (26yrs) was charged with Driving with more than 80 mgs. of Alcohol in Blood contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada. He was issued a 90 day ADLS suspension and his vehicle was impounded for 7 days. St. Georges was released from custody and was compelled to attend court on July 2, 2014.

On Monday, June 23, 2014 at approximately 11:59 p.m. members of the Greater Sudbury Police Service responded to a possible impaired driver in the area of Hwy 144, Chelmsford. The black 2002 GMC Sierra pickup was located and the male driver was found to have been drinking. The roadside test resulted in a Fail. The driver was taken into custody at the scene and escorted to police headquarters. The results of the breath tests indicated that the driver was over twice the legal limit.

Mark Hegan (53yrs) was charged with Care or Control While Impaired and Care or Control Over 80 mgs. contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada. He was issued a 90 day ADLS suspension and his vehicle was impounded for 7 days. Hegan was released from custody and was compelled to attend court on July 2, 2014.

On Wednesday, June 25, 2014 at approximately 11:57 p.m. members of the Greater Sudbury Police Service responded to a single motor vehicle collision in the area of Levis St., Sudbury. The blue 2007 Ford 150 was located and the male driver was found to have been drinking. The roadside test resulted in a Fail. The driver was taken into custody at the scene and escorted to police headquarters. The breath tests indicated that the driver was over twice the legal limit.

Frank Pozdyk (57yrs) was charged with Care or Control While Impaired and Care or Control Over 80 mgs. contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada. He was issued a 90 day ADLS suspension and his vehicle was impounded for 7 days. He was released from custody and is compelled to attend court on July 23, 2014.
