ARRESTS AND SEIZURE OF MORE THAN $44,000 IN DRUGS AND CASH

On March 28th 2015, members of the Break, Enter and Robbery (BEAR) Unit of the Greater Sudbury Police Service acted on information received that a man from the Sudbury area was in possession of a quantity of illicit drugs.

At approximately 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, a traffic stop was conducted in the parking lot of a restaurant on Notre-Dame Ave. in Sudbury – there were three occupants in the vehicle at the time.

The three men (all from CGS area) were arrested and taken into custody. The search of the accused persons and the vehicles resulted in the seizure of Hydromorphs and OxyContin having a street value of $40,180.00, and $4,280.00 in Canadian currency.

Roger Lavoie (61 yrs.), Keith Claven (58 yrs.) and Alain St. Onge (37 yrs.), each face charges of 3 counts of Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking and 1 count of Possession of Property Obtained by Crime. St. Onge is also charged with Breach of Probation.

Bail court was scheduled for March 30th.
