The City of Greater Sudbury reminds residents that the spring and summer road schedule for All Terrain Vehicle (ATV) operators comes into effect on April 1, 2014. Riders are encouraged to familiarize themselves with ATV spring-summer routes by dialing 3-1-1 for municipal services or by visiting www.greatersudbury.ca/atv
Under municipal by-law, ATVs are not permitted on municipal roads from 11 p.m. to 7 a.m. and passengers are never permitted on public roads. Drivers must be insured, possess a valid driver’s license and follow the rules of the road under the Ontario Highway Traffic Act.
The Greater Sudbury Police Service is responsible for enforcing the ATV by-law.
