Updated - January 11th, 2016 9:30am: OPP Advise that Highway 17 at the Nipigon River Bridge has been open to one lane. MTO is working diligently to resolve the issue; however, motorists should expect lengthy delays and delay travel plans if possible.

Original - January 10th, 2016 1:00pm: Highway 17 is closed in both directions at the Nipigon River Bridge due to emergency road work.
According to information posted on the Ontario511 Twitter account the length of closure is currently unknown but may be several days.
