Updated: January 28th, 2016 4:30pm: A 39yr old Sudbury woman has been charged with Careless Driving for crossing the centre line in a fatal collision that occurred on Municipal Road 80 on the 18th of January 2016 that claimed the life of one driver and injured another.
During the investigation, collision investigators found that brake components of the charged driver’s vehicle were faulty and as a result, she was also charged with operating her vehicle with defective brakes.
Although determined not to have been a contributing factor in the collision, the Highway Traffic Act requires that braking systems be maintained in good working order at all times.

This is a terrible tragedy and an ongoing problem on this road. When is the city going to do something about it. It could be as simple as a centre lane guard rail on this stretch of HWY.
