Counterfeit US Currency circulating in Greater Sudbury

In the month of January in the city of Greater Sudbury, there have been 20 occurrences of counterfeit U.S. bills being used at local business in the Downtown, New Sudbury and South End shopping districts. The $50 U.S. bill has been used in most of the offences however both $100 and $20 U.S. denominations have been circulating as well.

Please be aware when accepting cash currencies to be vigilant and look for signs that the bill is not a forgery.
