Update - April 16th, 2016 1:30pm: The Noelville Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) would like to advise the public that 65 year old Bob SMELLIE has been located deceased in the Municipality of West Nipissing.

GSO has learned that the day Smellie disappeared he was supposed to leave he was going to meet somebody interested in purchasing his truck that was advertised for sale on Kijiji. Smellie was supposed to meet the buyer, attend a doctors appointment and then take the bus back home if the truck sold. Police confirmed that he never made it to the appointment.

Police initially interviewed the prospective buyer and they indicated that Smellie never showed up for the meeting.

(NOELVILLE, ON) – The Noelville Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is continuing their search for 65 year old Bob SMELLIE who was last seen in St. Charles at around 7:00 a.m. on April 12, 2016.

On April 14, 2016, the OPP Helicopter Unit conducted an aerial search of the area but the missing male has not yet been located. He is described as a white male who is 6’2” tall, and weighing approximately 141 lbs. He has short gray hair and brown eyes. It is possible he is wearing blue jeans, a black t-shirt, a camo-coloured jacket and brown hiking boots. He is known to drive a black Chevrolet Avalanche.
Police and family are concerned for his wellbeing and are asking any person with information to immediately contact the Ontario Provincial Police at 1-888-310-1122 or their nearest police authority.

There seems to be a growing number of unexplained deaths in and around the Sudbury region.
