Citizens on Patrol partners with Sudbury Meals on Wheels

As part of the Greater Sudbury Police Service commitment to “Community Safety and WellBeing” and “Service Excellence”, the Police Service is proud to announce a new partnership between its Citizens on Patrol (COP) volunteers and the Sudbury Meals on Wheels.
April 26th, marks the launch of this great collaboration between two community partners.
Beginning today, the Citizens on Patrol volunteers, using their marked COP’s vehicles, will be delivering meals throughout the City of Greater Sudbury.
The Sudbury Police COP volunteers are invaluable to officers, as they are extra “eyes and ears” patrolling neighbourhoods and reporting unusual or suspicious activity resulting in enhanced service delivery to the community.
With COP volunteers now delivering meals to identified community members through the Meals on Wheels program, visibility is enhanced while also supplementing another community partner’s volunteer pool.
All citizens are important and the aforementioned partnership between COP volunteers and Sudbury Meals on Wheels promotes a healthy and safe community!
