The Greater Sudbury Police Service in partnership with Accident Support Services International (Collision Reporting Centre), compile statistics relating to motor vehicle collisions within our City that fall under the jurisdiction of the Greater Sudbury Police Service (GSPS).
Members of the Sudbury Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a two vehicle fatal collision on January 25, 2015 shortly after 1:35 pm. The collision occurred on Highway 144, in Baynes Township.
On Friday January 23, 2015 at approximately 7:47 p.m. a Dodge Durango was travelling southbound on Highway 69 in Henvey Township. The Dodge was pulling a trailer when it lost control and veered in front of a northbound freightliner truck.
The Greater Sudbury Police Service RIDE program attended the following locations: Barrydowne at Maley, Howey at Downing, Auger at Fielding, Cedar at Elgin and conducted RIDE checks on Friday January 23rd, 2015
OPP advise that Highway 69S is closed 1 km South of Highway 526 to investigate a motor vehicle collision.
The Service has received complaints from various parts of the City, regarding snowmobiles accessing private and prohibited areas.
The Espanola Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is warning area motorists to be aware of potential traffic delays during their travels at the intersection of Highway 17 and Highway 6 in the town of McKerrow, tomorrow, January 24, between the hours of 12:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m.
