The intersection of Martindale Road and Lorne Street, Sudbury will be temporarily closed due to construction. Members of the public are asked to avoid this area and take alternative routes. Greater Sudbury Police are on scene to assist with redirecting traffic. Fire and Ambulance services as well as Sudbury Transit have been advised.
The road closure is expected to last until approximately 2:00 p.m. today.

The Greater Sudbury Police Service and City of Greater Sudbury By-law have received complaints in the past week, of aggressive salespersons in the area, representing a company called Just Energy. CGS By-law has confirmed that Just Energy does not have a licence to conduct business in the Greater Sudbury area.
The Greater Sudbury Police Service wants to share a warning that was issued in Winnipeg, Manitoba, by the Canadian Centre for Child Protection. It refers to a rise in teenagers reporting incidents where they are extorted for money as a result of sexual images / videos of them they shared by way of social media, with someone they believed to be other young persons
The body of Lawrence Clement was located yesterday afternoon in vicinity of Fairbanks Lake Road. No other information is available at this time.

Lively Man Faces Criminal Charges
(SUDBURY, ON) – On August 21, 2014 at 11:25 p.m., officers from the Sudbury Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a three vehicle fatal collision on Highway 17 Southwest by-pass, between Southview Drive and Fielding Road, in the City of Greater Sudbury.
On Wednesday August 6th at approx. 4:15 p. m., an incident occurred in the area of MR 15 at St. Laurent St. in the former town of Rayside-Balfour, involving two drivers – one operating a black Pick-up truck and the other, a white Van with company decals on the side.
