Students from École Jean-Paul II in Val Caron take top prize in nation-wide commemorative contest

Des étudiants de l’école élémentaire Jean-Paul II à Val Caron remportent la première place dans un concours national commémoratif.

Historica Canada is pleased to announce the class of Mr. Sylvain Prévost at École Jean-Paul II (Val Caron) has won the How We Remember Contest which challenged students from across the country to create an art or writing piece around the theme of remembrance of either the First or Second World War.

Ontario Government introduces back-to-work legistration against teachers

This afternoon, Ontario introduced legislation to protect the school year for 72,000 public secondary students in Durham, Rainbow and Peel district school boards following an advisement from the Education Relations Commission that students are in jeopardy of not being able to complete their school year as a result of ongoing strikes.

Tanya Quesnel, a grade 12 student at Sudbury’s École secondaire du Sacré-Coeur, won her third silver medal at the Canada Games in Prince Georges, British Columbia. On February 26, Tanya placed 2nd in the 5 km sit-ski para female race.
