Greater Sudbury Police are reminding motorists that due to the rain last night and this morning and the sudden drop in weather temperature and snow that is occurring at this time, road conditions are deteriorating very quickly.

Reminder: Changes to Waste By-law Take Effect April 1, 2016

Rappel: Entrée en vigueur le 1er avril 2016 des changements apportés au règlement sur les déchets

In an effort to reduce the number of human-bear interactions, Greater Sudbury Council amended by-law 2006-280 to change the times residents can leave their household garbage, Blue Box recyclables and Green Cart organics at their curbside. Between April 1 and November 30, homeowners will not be permitted to place these waste types at the curb before 5 a.m.

Water safety warning issued by Conservation Sudbury

Water levels in most lakes and streams remain high but are slowly moving towards seasonal levels. Cooler temperatures have brought some stability to water levels in smaller watersheds. However, levels and flows on a few watercourses will remain high and fast for some time.
