Queen’s Athletic Skating Oval and Ramsey Lake Skating Path Closed for the Season

Due to the onset of milder temperatures, Queen’s Athletic Skating Oval and the Ramsey Lake Skate Path are both now closed for the season.

Greater Sudbury Ski hills will remain open, weather permitting, until further notice.

Grade 7 and 8 Enriched Math students from Carl A. Nesbitt Public School won the University of Waterloo’s Grade 9 Pascal Math Contest for Zone 62, within Northern Ontario. Students study math at the Grade 9/10 level for 90 minutes a day.

Police Continue to Receive Call about Aggressive Door-to-door Salespersons

The Greater Sudbury Police Service and City of Greater Sudbury By-law continue to receive calls about extremely aggressive door-to-door salespersons, representing different companies. Some offer to check the status of your furnace or air conditioner, with the intentions of changing parts and / or getting homeowners to agree to a long-term rental agreement which ends up being costly over time.
