(VAL CARON, ON) 2014 at approximately 8:13 p.m. a lone male entered the Pioneer Gas bar located at 3143 regional Road 80 in Val Caron. The male brandished a weapon and demanded money from the clerk. An undisclosed amount of money was provided to the perpetrator who then fled on foot.
UPDATE - We have received word that Edward Hillson has been located. He's currently in hospital but his condition is unknown at this time. No other details are available.
In the early morning hours of October 7th, 1993 Constable Joe Macdonald conducted a routine traffic stop on Gordon Street in New Sudbury. The driver was Peter Pennett. The passenger in the vehicle was Clinton Suzack, who at the time was wanted for a parole violation.

On Saturday October 4th, 2014 at approximately 9:30pm two males forced their way into a residence of a lone male. A knife was used and physical force to control the male in an attempt to steal medication and money, neither of which was obtained

Greater Sudbury Police have identified of the victim of the Train / Pedestrian collision that occurred on Saturday, Oct. 4th. The 63-yr old male was residing in the Greater Sudbury area but was not originally from the city. Attempts are being made to locate and notify family members therefore the victim`s name will not be released.
Police respond to a single vehicle motor vehicle roll over last night that closed Regional Road 35 between Gagnon Rd and Fire Route O for a several hours early this morning.
On Thursday October 2nd at 9 pm, a restaurant on Notre Dame was robbed by a lone male party using pepper spray. The male party ran from the restaurant after spraying pepper spray inside the restaurant and taking an undisclosed amount of cash.
